A main objective of the Canadian 5 Pin Bowlers' Association has been to standardize lane conditions for 5 Pin bowlers and proprietors across Canada. A Lane Certification Program has subsequently been introduced to ...
| Manitoba and Saskatchewan in 1983 | |
| Quebec and Newfoundland in 1985 | |
| Alberta and British Columbia in 1986 | |
| Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island in 1992. |
Each program has been tailored to meet the needs of the individual provinces and has met with unqualified success.
The original concept for a Lane Certification Program in Canada was designed along the lines of a very successful program conducted by the American Bowling Congress in the United States. This program called on trained volunteers to make annual checkups on bowling center facilities to ensure that the lanes and equipment met with ABC specifications. The program became a benefit to both proprietors and bowlers as lane certification became the key ingredient in standardizing lane conditions across the nation.
The Lane Certification Seminar is offered as a no-charge, 2 day clinic.
Day 1, 1:00 to 5:00 pm covers:

| Purpose of Lane Certification | |
