The AIM was to provide an interesting program that would encourage more youngsters to participate in the various games of bowling. A series of tournaments and championships was arranged that would be both interesting and a challenge to all youth bowlers, regardless of their skill levels. This has now evolved into a program that encourages adult bowlers to take a greater interest in youth bowlers. THE YBC and its programs are administered by the Bowling Proprietor's Association of Canada and, each year, enlists the aid of over 6,000 parents and adults to voluntarily coach, supervise, and instruct young bowlers. The YBC World of Bowling:The National Youth Bowling Council hopes to instill a love for bowling in its young members, a love for the sport and a love for a lifetime of social activity. Bowling in a YBC league provides the best opportunity for young Canadians to learn the value of sportsmanship and fair play. It teaches co-ordination and good fellowship and provides members with plenty of friends, fitness, and fun.
